Bekasi, JurnalPost.com - Being young is no excuse to stop trying new things. This principle seems to perfectly describe the journey of Alea Malika Putri, a young woman from Bekasi who has been actively pursuing diverse experiences since her vocational high school (SMK) days.

Born in Bekasi on October 12, 2007, Alea began showing an interest in organizations, education, and social activities while studying accounting at SMK Mutiara Baru, Bekasi, from 2022 to 2025.

Rather than focusing solely on classroom studies, Alea chose to use her school years to explore the world beyond the academic environment.

One of her achievements came in 2023, when Alea successfully won 2nd place in the Agent of Change competition organized by the Bekasi City Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora). She represented both her school and the Karya Wirausaha Sinergi Foundation.

This experience led Alea to become increasingly active in various Bekasi City Government programs and MSME activities alongside the Wirausaha Sinergi Foundation, where she was entrusted with a role in Public Relations.

From there, Alea became involved in seminars and outreach programs targeting youth. The themes covered were diverse, ranging from digital marketing and youth MSME development to mental health and business introduction.

From Active Organization Involvement to Founding an Educational Community

Alea's busy schedule did not stop at school activities.

In 2024, she earned the title of Organization Ambassador and joined the Indonesian Brilliant Student Community.

Her desire to provide a space for young people in the field of education also led Alea to establish the Indonesian Education Mover Community. The community later evolved into the Indonesian Archipelago Education Ambassador, with Alea serving as the founder.

She was also selected as a volunteer for the West Java Student Earth Guardian Academic program, representing the city of Bekasi.

The field of education remains a prominent part of her journey. Alea is a recipient of the Smartschool Scholarship from YBM Brilliant RO Jakarta for the 2023-2025 period.

She has also participated in several academic competitions, including Puspesjar, the National Saintech, Sainsfes, and ISSC.

In addition to academic achievements, Alea has equipped herself with professional skills. She obtained a BNSP Junior Photography competency certification in 2024 and an Accounting certification in 2025.

Her work experience is quite diverse for someone her age. While still in school, Alea completed an internship at the KPP Madya Bekasi in the service department.

She even had experience teaching at the Al-Kharimah Islamic Kindergarten in Bekasi.

Failing the SNBP, Alea Chose to Work

Life after vocational school did not always go according to plan.

Alea had the opportunity to participate in the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) to continue her education at a state university, but the results were not what she had hoped for.

Instead of giving up, Alea tried another path.

She worked as a telemarketer at Bank CTBC for about three months before eventually returning to pursue her education.

Currently, Alea is an undergraduate student majoring in Management at Universitas Pertiwi.

Entering university life did not diminish her passion for participating in various competitions.

In 2026, Alea participated in a Quick-Fire Quiz competition organized by the Lampung State Polytechnic. While she did not bring home a title from that event,

Alea did not stop there.

She entered another competition held by the same institution, this time in the field of content creation. The result was different; Alea successfully won 1st Place in the Inspiration category.

Her First Short Story Published

Beyond organizations, education, and content creation, Alea also harbors an interest in writing.

In the same year, she won 3rd place in a short story writing competition organized by Halo Penulis.

The short story titled “Before We Return to Normal” holds special meaning for her, as it marked the first time one of Alea's literary works was published.

Her interest in writing had actually emerged back when she was in vocational school.

For Alea, writing is not just about arranging words. It is a way to store her thoughts and feelings while conveying things that are sometimes difficult to say directly.

Amidst the various achievements and failures she has experienced, Alea has her own perspective on the meaning of a process.

“Not every process must yield material results to be considered meaningful.”

According to Alea, experiences remain valuable as long as they are able to change one's mindset, shape character, and make a person more beneficial to their surroundings.

She summarizes this principle in a sentence that she carries throughout her life's journey.

“Make every step meaningful, even when the result is unseen.”

Or, in Indonesian, make every step meaningful, even when the results are not yet visible.

For Alea, the journey she is on is still long.

She still wants to explore education, organizations, the creative world, writing, and various new experiences she has yet to try.

Her goal is not merely to collect degrees or awards.

Alea wants to prove to herself that every opportunity, success, failure, and process she has gone through always has meaning.

Because in the end, according to Alea, life's journey is not just about how much one manages to achieve, but also about how a person changes after going through each process.
